Led by Information Technology and Institutional Research, UW Oshkosh is implementing a Data Governance program. The purpose of the program is to ensure that the same question gets the same answer through the management of information as an institutional asset. This program will, over time, help the university transform into a more evidence-based culture.
EAB Student Success Collaborative
The Student Success Collaborative, hosted by the Educational Advisory Board, analyzes student data to help colleges and universities improve retention, progression, and graduation rates. During Phase One we will determine current structure for appointment scheduling in all Advising Departments. During Phase Two we will expand on the Advising Functionality into Appointment Campaigns and creating referrals.
Learning Management System (LMS)
The Desire2Learn (D2L) contract is approaching its expiration date for the entire UW System, requiring us to re-procure a learning management system. Along with all the regional campuses, UW Oshkosh will participate in requirements gathering and the development of two Requests For Proposals (RFP), as well as the evaluation and selection of the winning proposals.
Voice Over IP (VoIP)
Voice over IP (VoIP) is a more robust, modern telephone communication system that will deliver voice and video communications to campus offices over the Internet. The VoIP project will complete phase 1 of 3 by July 12. VoIP phone deliveries and building network upgrades for phases 2 and 3 will continue through September 2017. See the Cut Over List for additional details on when your building or office will be receiving service.
